The accreditation curriculum offers a solid and well-rounded
education in all areas of a pet-sitting business: Pet Care, Health &
Nutrition, Additional Services and Business & Office Procedures.
PSI requires all Certified members to recertify every three (3) years
by accumulating thirty (30) Approved Credit Units (ACUs)

updated in the latest trends and information in the pet industry.

As of October 2107, Pam Johnson, Owner of The Extended Leash,
obtained the "Background Check PASSED" designation through Pet
Sitters Internationals, Locator Designation Program. To maintain
this designation, Pet Sitters International (PSI) requires its
professional pet-sitting members to pass background verification
annually.
